TIMING

Take one capsule 30-120 minutes before training. For improved fat metabolism, take at the 120 minutes prior mark.

CYCLE ON AND OFF

Consume our Workout Caffeine on a periodic or sporadic basis. If you consume several days in a row, cycle off for several days prior to using again.

Caffeine is best as a before exercise supplement in most instances. Consuming at other times depending on your activity and goals, could have a benefit for you so feel free to experiment. We suggest avoiding caffeine intake late in the day as it can adversely affect sleep patterns.

DURING TRAINING

Our caffeine caps can be used during training and competition to give you a boost when you need it most. If you sip on a drink supplement while you train, you can twist open the capsule and add it to your mix. Caffeine is bitter so experiment with this technique first. Citrus juices are great for masking the bitterness. For endurance athletes, caffeine can be the kick you need for the end of a race. Taken 10-15 minutes before you anticipate sprinting to the finish, pop one of our Workout Caffeine and get ready for the turbo boost!

Q – WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE CAFFEINE?

A – Prior to your workout is the best time to consume additional caffeine as a supplement. It takes 30-45 minutes for the caffeine to get into your system so be sure to take it at least 30 minutes before the start of your training session. Peak levels will occur about 1 hour after ingestion so you can time that for when you want the maximum benefit. Peak effects for fat burning can occur several hours later so consume caffeine well ahead of your workout if losing fat is one of your primary goals.

Q – CAN I USE IT EVERY DAY?

A – We suggest you cycle usage on and off. It’s ok to take caffeine multiple days in a row but then you should go multiple days without it. If you only use it on occasion, your body is more susceptible to the diuretic effect so be sure to drink extra water and get some electrolytes in your system early.

Q – CAN I TEST POSITIVE FOR CAFFEINE USING THIS SUPPLEMENT?

A – Depending on your specific sports rules, this is a possibility. Know what amounts are allowed in competition and plan accordingly. In general 1000 mg of caffeine should keep you under IOC type restrictions. Everyone metabolizes caffeine differently, it can change from day to day, and other substances can affect clearing of caffeine from your system. Just because it worked for you previously, doesn’t mean the same will always hold true. Therefore, we recommend caffeine use in training only and suggest you don’t ingest it for several days leading up to a competition at a minimum.

Q – CAN’T I GET THE SAME BENEFIT FROM AN ENERGY DRINK?

A – The same amount of caffeine can be ingested but not without everything else that is in an energy drink. Sugar, high fructose corn syrup and high levels of stimulants can be detrimental to everything you are trying to achieve with your training. We recommend you consume our Workout Caffeine when you want to supplement with caffeine and avoid energy drinks for this purpose.
